Creating Good Fortune talk
FRI May 2 | 6-7:30pm
with Gen Kelsang Dorje
Resident Teacher at KMC Madison
When things aren’t going well, we tend to think it’s someone or a situation driving our lack of good fortune. It feels like we are a “puppet” in our life without any opportunity to change our experiences. When we explore the wisdom of “karma” (Sanskrit for action), we recognize that we create the good fortune within ourselves versus waiting for our life to feel like it’s got good fortune.
“Since the quality of our experiences depends upon the quality of our actions, and the quality of an action depends upon the quality of the intention with which it is performed, ultimately all our happiness and unhappiness depend upon the mental factor intention.”
- Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
The retreat includes guided meditations, short teachings as well as Q&A in the last session. Everyone can benefit from this retreat — you don't have to be Buddhist to participate.
