Building Self Confidence talk
FRIDAY Nov 22 | 6 - 7pm
with Gen Kelsang Demo
Midwestern US National Spiritual Director and
Resident Teacher at KMC Washington DC
Not to be confused with pride, authentic self-confidence arises from the wish to skilfully improve ourselves and inspire those around us. Using wisdom methods, we can use meditation to recognize when we are "overinflating" ourself to be self-important or "working it" to be the best over everyone else. When we step back to see that we are grasping tightly onto these insecurities, we can relax into being authentic by using our wisdom to create real self-confidence. By building this solid foundation using meditation, many benefits such as peace of mind and joy, will happen for you and others.
Join Gen Kelsang Demo, Midwestern US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington DC, to discover your own self-confidence on Friday, November 22 from 6-7pm. If you wish, a vegetarian meal will be served following the talk. Please make a reservation for the meal by Wednesday, November 20.
